The Importance of Embracing Variety
The first week of our BBR Six-Week Challenge is underway, and we hope you’re participating with us! All you have to do is make a grocery list (we have a template here), take a picture of yourself with it at the grocery store, and share it with us here for your chance to win a prize.
To help you as you make your grocery list, today we’re going to talk about how embracing variety in your diet can help you transform your life!
Why Variety Matters
One of the most important reasons to eat a variety of food is that doing so provides you with a variety of nutrients. Let’s take carrots and red peppers, for example. Carrots are high in vitamin A, and red peppers are high in vitamin C. Both are healthy options for vegetables, but they offer different nutritional profiles. By including both in your diet, you’d get a broader spectrum of nutrients than if you only included one of them.
Variety also helps you stay on track to transform your life because you’re less likely to get bored with what you’re eating. Some people do just fine eating the same foods day in and day out, but most of us are happier when we eat a variety of foods. Whether it is Protein Day, Meal Day, or your Free Meal, be sure to shake things up from time to time and try some different things!
Variety in the Better Body System
At Yoli, we believe that variety is an important part of transforming your life. That’s why it’s built right into our meal plan! The 28-Day Transformation brochure that comes with the Transformation Kit offers a wide variety of protein, carbohydrates, fruits, and vegetables to give you plenty of options. No matter what your individual dietary preferences are, you’ll be able to find many foods that will work for you.
As you fill out your grocery list for our BBR Six-Week Challenge, make sure you take full advantage of the variety of foods that you can choose from. If you need ideas for BBS-friendly recipes, you can find some here. For more tips to transform your life and make 2019 your best year ever, subscribe to the blog and check out our Facebook page!
