Make a grocery list.

If you want to eat healthier, a great place to start is by making a grocery list! When you head to the store without a list, it’s much easier to find yourself tossing less healthy options into your grocery cart. Before you go shopping, take a few minutes to consider your meals for the week and write down what you’ll need to buy. Doing so will make it much easier to stick with healthy eating. As a bonus, you’ll be a more efficient shopper and spend less time wandering around!

Read nutrition labels.

Once you’re at the grocery store, it’s a good idea to look at the nutrition facts on food labels. Even foods that are marketed as healthy can be high in sugar, fat, and sodium! Establish a sleep schedule.  

Most adults need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep every night to feel their best, but many of us don’t even come close to that. And while setting a goal to get more sleep is great, it can be hard to put it into practice without a sleep schedule! Pick a time that will allow you to get 7-9 hours of sleep each night, and make a commitment to going to bed at that time. It may seem strange to have a “bedtime” as an adult, but if you make it a habit, you’ll find it much easier to get enough rest.

Sneak in extra veggies.

Vegetables are a key part of a healthy diet because they offer essential nutrients. Unfortunately, many people aren’t eating enough of them. If this is you, don’t worry! There are a lot of ways to increase your vegetable consumption. You can use these tips to sneak in some extra vegetables!

Go for a walk.

Staying physically active is an important part of your health, and while many people favor intense workouts, that’s not the only way to be active. Just going for a walk can make a big difference for your physical and emotional health. Whether it’s a short walk to stretch your legs at work or a longer walk in the morning or the evening, making regular walks part of your routine is an easy way to take care of your health!
