Since 80% of resolutions fail by mid-February, we wanted to check-in! Read through this blog and evaluate where you’re at. Follow along however you’d like! Do a mental check, write it all down, or talk it out with a friend or family member.

what did you want to accomplish?

Before diving in, re-evaluate your goal. What did you want to accomplish? What steps do you need to take to reach your goal? Make a quick list, or just read through what you’ve written before. Even though you’re the one who made the goal, it never hurts to refresh your memory. You may find yourself remembering things that you hadn’t before, or you might have found different steps that will make you more successful! Either way, make sure to review what it is that you want to work on. It will make it easier to evaluate where you are now.

This is also a great time to make sure that your goals follow the SMART outline— Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-based. If they’re not, what can you do to adjust them? It’s important to set yourself up for success. No one likes to fail! By ensuring that your goals are SMART, you will find that success comes much easier to you.

what have you accomplished?

It’s important to start off on a celebratory note. Chances are, you’ve managed to accomplish something, no matter how small it may seem! Take a moment to recognize those accomplishments. Even if you haven’t completed an entire goal, you have taken steps to accomplish it eventually. Maybe you got in an extra workout last week. Maybe you’ve read 100 pages of that book you wanted to finish. Regardless of what it is, take the time to acknowledge it. You deserve to celebrate your achievements.

what still needs to be accomplished?

As great as it is to celebrate, it’s important to not settle for just those achievements. You’ve got a bigger picture in mind, don’t you? Take the time now to catalog what still needs to be done.  You can continue to section off steps, as suggested in this blog, or you can write a general list. As long as you have a game plan, you’ll be set. Know what you’re going to accomplish and how you’re going to accomplish it. You’ve got this, Yoli Nation. Make it your best year yet!
