When you’re using the Yoli Better Body System, working toward optimal health doesn’t have to be complicated. Here are three lifestyle changes that you can make to transform your health!

Eat more whole foods.

Eating whole foods, which are foods that either haven’t been processed at all or have been processed as little as possible, is a great way to work toward optimal health. They usually offer more nutrients than processed foods, including essential vitamins and minerals, and they generally contain less sodium, added sugars, and trans fats.

Of course, focusing on whole foods doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. Whole-grain breads and pastas, for example, can be a healthy part of your diet. Just try to eat more whole foods and less processed foods overall, and you’ll do great!

Get moving.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that exercise is great for your health. It helps build and maintain lean muscle mass, and it’s good for your heart, your lungs, your energy levels, your sleep, and even your mood. That’s why we recommend working out for 30-45 minutes three to five times each week. If you’re not used to working out, start out slow and work your way up to avoid injury!

Make sleep a priority.

We talk about sleep a lot here on the blog, but that’s because it’s one of the most important parts of your physical and emotional health! While sleep is often the first thing to be sacrificed when you have a busy schedule, doing so can be really hard on your body. People who regularly enjoy sufficient sleep tend to have stronger immune systems and a lesser risk of cardiovascular disease and hypertension. Sleep also leads to clearer thinking, better emotional health, and increased productivity.

Sleep also plays an important role in weight management. When you don’t get enough sleep, your body makes more ghrelin, a hormone that signals your brain that it’s time to eat, and suppresses the amount of leptin, which signals your brain that you’re full. This can make it much harder to stay on track with your healthy lifestyle choices. And let’s be honest: no one feels good when they don’t get enough sleep! Most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night, so we encourage you to make it a priority.
